The second bag pack took place this weekend (18/19 April) at Morrisons but it seemed a struggle to get shoppers to accept our help. This gave us the impression that the funds raised would be lower than expected. Although we raised a respectable £400.63 on the Saturday we felt that the day could have gone better. We reviewed our approach and made changes on the Sunday. The benefits could clearly be seen and the feeling during the day was good. Although the team spent 1 hour less at the store compared to the Saturday, a further £510.26 was raised making the total for the weekend £917.89, a figure well above expectations for the weekend.

The Team turned up at Sainsbury's in Basingstoke the following weekend and raised a further £633.82, at present our best earner for one day's bag packing.

A further bag took place on Saturday this time at ASDA in Andover where funds raised reached £406. A tiring day for some of the parents who were also attending this year's Summer Ball that evening. Although the offer of help was rejected more times than most, the girls and boys (and the parents) persevered.
To the relief of all involved in these bag packs, the news is there is only 1 to go (27th June).
