Fund Raising

Fund raising to cover the costs of the trip has been a major focus for the team over during 2008. With individual targets of £500 and a further Team target of £7000 its been a big challenge. The fundraising activities that have been carried out include.....

St Marybourne Elvis Night Dinner

On Saturday 19th April the Mityana team turned out in force to help at the 'Elvis Night' held in St Mary Bourne Village Centre.  More details here.

Sponsored Walk.

Held on 26th April, the sponsored walk started with a loop around Overton and finished in Whitchurch. More details here..

May Ball.

The highly successful May Ball was held on Saturday 10th May raising a massive £2620. More details here..

Talent Show

Hannah Bliss supported by the Uganda team  organised a talent show at Testbourne School, with heats and a finals held on 5th June 2008. All funds raised were put towards the Solar Panel fund. 

Litter Pick at Laverstoke Park

On Thursday 26th June the team members turned out to help tidy up one of Jody Scheckters fields at the Laverstoke Park estate. They worked from 4 to 7pm collecting and bagging up litter and raised £200 for the fund. Well done to all who took part.

TWANG Rocks

The Twang Rocks music festival was held successfully on July 26, with the Mityana team actively involved. The team put on the food stalls including burgers, chips, kids bar, crisps, novelties and ice cream. More here..
