On Saturday 19th April the Mityana team turned out in force to help at the 'Elvis Night' held in St Mary Bourne Village Centre. This was a joint fund raiser for the Mityana Project (in particular, income generating projects for schools & groups) and the Andover Young Carers.

Organised by Dodie Marsden & Bridget Culley from St Mary Bourne & The Andover Young Carers committee, the evening offered a three course meal followed by Elvis himself, singing all his greatest hits.

After running the cloakroom and selling hundreds of raffle tickets, the team served a three course meal to just under 100 guests & then with their characteristic good humour, set about tackling the resulting mountains of washing up.

As the evening progressed and the rock & roll atmosphere spread to the kitchen, the team cracked on and managed to finish the washing up and drying in time to join Elvis and the guests on the dance floor for the last few numbers.

It was a fantastic evening and every team member worked incredibly hard. Numerous guests commented on what an excellent job they did - Congratulations Team !
