Mityana Visit 2007 This summary of the 2007 visit was extracted from two documents by James Francis Busuulwa, Mityana Secondary School
We began by threading our school budges together as we have common objectives. When the group arrived we emphasized they come up with partners so they could share in peer discussions, classroom lessons and out of class interactions to find out their common challenges.
First thing we all adhere to is attending school assemblies anytime they are called.
Among the activities include the daily collecting water from down the valley
They used the playing field,
Practiced land management in the school gardens,
Music Dance and Drama practices are a normal menu in the school routine, and so the guests were taught some African drumming and dancing.
Lined up to get meals and sat to eat from the school dinning room.
In their groups they decided to visit and do some work at Mityana Junior school.

Teachers James Busuulwa, Janet Evans, and Dick Stevens saw them restore the school’s fading wall leaning diagrams and maps
They also shared learning experience in the Junior lessons. The group assisted the Junior school children to design and make bracelets and necklaces. |
