Latest NewsTwang Rocks Fund Raising Success The Twang Rocks music festival was held successfully on July 26, with the Mityana team actively involved. The team put on the food stalls including burgers, chips, kids bar, crisps, novelties and ice cream. With Vicki Cope at the heart of organising things, many of the members and parents did a turn on stalls to help fill the all day schedule. It was a very busy day for members and parent alike and the sunshine made even better - even if one or two did get a little sunburnt. The stalls raised a very nice £295.71 with the share of the gate money to be confirmed. more Litter Pick at Laverstoke Park On Thursday 26th June the team members turned out to help tidy up one of Jody Scheckters fields at the Laverstoke Park estate. They worked from 4 to 7pm collecting and bagging up litter and raised £200 for the fund. Well done to all who took part.
About the Testbourne Mityana ProjectA group of 14 pupils from Testbourne School, Whitchurch, have been chosen to represent the school on a visit to Mityana, Uganda. 
The team will be raising money throughout 2008 and will visit Uganda in October for two weeks. |
